HIV 1 and HIV2.The test is based on the principle of double antigen sandwich immunoassay for the
qualitative detection of Anti-HIV in human serum. Purified recombinant antigens are employed to
identify Anti-HIV specifically. This one step test is very sensitive and only takes about 15 minutes. Test
results are read visually without any instrumentation.

est Procedures:
*Read the instruction manual and operating instructions for both the test kit and safety blood lancet prior to use
1.Allow all test components to come to room temperature prior to testing. Keep test kit sealed until use. Test kit should be used within one hour of opening.
2.Remove test kit from the foil pouch, and place on a flat dry surface.
3.For whole blood specimen, hold the dropper vertically and transfer 1 drop of whole blood (approximately 35 uL) to the specimen well (marked as "S" on test cassette).
Wait 30 seconds to allow for the specimen to be absorbed completely on the test pad.
4.Add 3 drops of the test buffer (‘S’ well),
and start timer.
5.As the test begins to work, you will see reddish purple colour move through the test window, located in the centre of the test kit.
6.Interpret results after 15 minutes.
Caution:
do not read test results after 20 minutes, as reading too late may yield false results.
Reading the test results.
Positive
: Both a purplish red test band and a purplish red control band appear on the membrane (marks “C’’ and “T”). The lower the antibody concentration, the weaker the test band.
Negative
: Only the purplish red control band appears on “С” mark on the membrane. The absence of a test band indicates a negative result.
Invalid result
: There should always be a purplish red control band in the control region, regardless of the test result. If a control band is not seen, the test is considered invalid. Repeat the test using a new test device.
