This is a nice inexpensive marine compass that works well. If you're looking for something decent that won't break the bank this is an excellent choice. The U-shaped mounting bracket can be mounted vertical or horizontal. It has the option of being illuminated by connecting the wires to 12 volts but it is not necessary for operation.
